An extension to the local community garden/lochend secret garden's growing space, with planting surrounding the castle. A community orchard, free food!
I couldn't agree more, our green spaces are fundamental to our well-being. Not only this, the group should mobilise to revamp the green patches on the corners of all of the roads and the green area near the playpark, funding is given from the council to do this through Edinburgh nature network to create green corridors. Also the growing space should not be locked up, it should be open as it is on the links.
Would be great for the environment, promoting home-grown food, food security and healthy eating, building skills locally and making the outside space attractive and welcoming.
